Miney is a captivating baby girl - the feisty runt of her litter. Miney, her two sibling (Eeney and Meeney) and their mom, Greta, were found inside the office of an abandoned warehouse where they were rescued from by BCCC.
Miney was diagnosed with eyelid defects which impair her vision and irritate her eyes (eyelid agenesis and persistent pupillary membranes). Her defective lashes and eyelids make it hard for her to blink and abnormal eye tissue has attached to the lens of her eye. Over time and without surgery, she is at risk for losing her sight altogether.

Happily, this fairly common congenital feline condition can be corrected thru ophthalmological surgery, when Miney reaches the age of 6 months. Until then, Miney is managing with the help of her trusty Golden Retriever, Foxy, who is more than happy to oblige.
Foxy alerts human foster mom, when Miney needs help opening cans of kitty food or snagging the best toys. In time, foster mom anticipates Miney will learn how to open doors. (She is currently perfecting her computer skills by marching over the keys while foster mom tried to type this).
