Responsibilities

A home visit will be conducted prior to sending a foster to your home. Our foster program includes bringing our foster cats to adoption events. The events are usually scheduled on selected Saturdays from 11 AM to 2 PM. Are you able to participate in the events?

We require digital photos and cat biographies to post on adoption websites. If you are unable to provide them within 2 weeks of receiving your foster cat, a BCCC volunteer can help you if needed. Are you able to provide these?

Potential adopters will be coming to your home to check out the foster cats in your care. The adoption coordinator will contact you with their information so that you can coordinate the visit date and time with the potential adopter. If the adoption occurs the check will be made out to BCCC and then sent to BCCC’s adoption coordinator. Are you able to do this?

Agreement And Signature

Do you understand that anyone interested in adopting your foster animals (including yourself) must go through the standard adoption process. The approval of candidates and placement of animals is up to the BCCC. We welcome all referrals.

I understand that although BCCC takes reasonable care to screen cats for foster care placement, it makes no guarantee relating to the animal's health, behavior or actions. I understand that I receive foster care animals at my own risk and can reject or return any cats for which BCCC has asked me to provide care. If at any time I am unable to provide care for my foster cats, I agree to return the cats to BCCC immediately. I indemnify and hold BCCC and it's volunteers free and harmless from all liability arising out of any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, action, judgement of every kind and description which may occur to or be suffered by me, members of my household, or any third parties by reason of activities arising out of this agreement.

By submitting this application, I affirm that the facts set forth in it are true and complete. I understand that if I am accepted as a foster volunteer, any false statements, omissions, or other misrepresentations made by me on this application may result in my immediate dismissal.
